| Aphrodite Hills, a luxurious and casually elegant resort near Paphos, is set in one of the most scenic, naturally beautiful locations in Cyprus, overlooking the very spot where Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love, is said to have emerged from the shimmering Mediterranean Sea.
Aphrodite Hills is the first ever fully-integrated golf, leisure and real estate development in Cyprus. Built at a cost of around CYP 150 million, the resort’s exceptional facilities include a five-star deluxe InterContinental Resort Hotel, featuring 290 rooms and suites, plus a presidential suite complete with private pool.
A multi-award winning resort ranging through 578 acres, Aphrodite Hills offers the tempting contrasts of peace and tranquillity combined with outstanding sports and leisure facilities. Residents and guests alike can enjoy world-class golf on the superb 18-hole championship course, competition-standard tennis courts, excellent fitness facilities and the sophisticated Retreat Spa with its Greco-Roman thermae.
At the heart of the resort is the bustling Village Centre with its bars, restaurants and shops; an amphitheatre for entertainment and traditional chapel –the perfect setting for romantic weddings.
Aphrodite Hills is being sympathetically developed with respect for the beautiful natural environment. It extends over two elevated plateaux standing either side of the Randi Gorge, a natural ravine and public nature reserve. And surrounding the resort is the Randi Forest, protected by the Cyprus Government Department of Forestry.
Crowning Aphrodite Hills Resort’s outstanding leisure facilities is the magnificent 18-hole golf course, designed by acclaimed course architect, Cabell B. Robinson. Five years in the making, it follows the scenic contours of the two plateaux, its challenging fairways cutting a swathe through lakes, olive and carob trees. No wonder the course has taken its rightful place among the very best the Mediterranean can offer.
No matter how many times you play the course, there’s always a new challenge. Not least the skill needed to conquer the dramatic holes that run alongside or traverse the dramatic central ravine. Celebrate your success in the sophisticated Clubhouse, overlooking the 18th green and the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean below.
In the restaurant you can savour delectable Cypriot specialties, international cuisine and an extensive wine list, or just enjoy the breathtaking view from the terraces. A premier Golf Academy, practice holes and pro-shop enhance your golf experience.

Once the Roman capital of Cyprus and now regional capital, Paphos was famous throughout antiquity both for its association with the cult of Aphrodite and the spread of Christianity. Its historic importance and ancient remains have secured the sites of Palai-Paphos and Nea Paphos a place on UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage list.
These attractions are within a short drive of Aphrodite Hills:
The Paphos Castle
Paphos Castle, originally a Byzantine fortress erected to protect the harbour, was rebuilt by the Lusignans in the 13th century, dismantled by the Venetians in 1570 during the Ottoman invasion and rebuilt by the Ottomans after they captured the island in the 16th century.
Paphos Mosaics
The mosaics of Paphos, dating from the 2nd to the 5th century AD, are considered to be among the finest in the Eastern Mediterranean. Their depictions of scenes from Greek mythology make them a must-see attraction.
Geroskipou Museum of Folk Art
The name of Geroskipou village comes from the Greek word "Ieros Kipos", the Sacred Garden of Aphrodite. A fascinating collection of Cyprus folk arts and crafts gathered together in the house known as Hadjismith. This fascinating museum occupies the House of Hadjismith, a traditional nineteenth century home of great architectural and historical importance.
